Late morning on "the longest day" (21st June 2018), the team responsible for repairing the Thames Riverbank in Abingdon were busy with their pile-driver where the A415 Road Bridge meets the "Nag's Head" Riverside Garden. The men had high-visibility fluorescent orange and yellow clothing and worked from a large flat-bottomed boat, the "Oxford", complete with cement mixer and wheelbarrow to fix the new stones into place.
