Abingdon in Spring

Abingdon in Spring

Size: 1.22m x 0.81m  Medium: Oils on canvas

Jul-Sep 2016

A Springtime painting very much influenced by the trees in blossom outside the Upper Reaches Restaurant at Abingdon. Although Chestnut Trees sheltered the River Thames reflections from the Northerly Wind, occasionally a stronger gust would hit the water surface and form small 'wave trains' which reflected the blue sky, here and there, from time to time.
