Very old-looking, maybe this little dock was used by the Monks of Abingdon Abbey over 500 years ago to load casks of wine for transport to London and further afield in the Roman Empire when our climate was warmer here in England, and grapes were grown locally on a large scale in 'The Vineyard' for many seasons before the 'Little Ice Age' appeared.
