By the time the River Thames gets to Cricklade, it is already quite deep and powerful, although it hasn't become all that wide as yet. Here the current was particularly strong after heavy rain the previous day. Some wake vortices were forming in the lee of weed clumps, and a swan was seen nearby, grazing on someone's lawn!
