The interplay of spreading waves which emanate from two fountains, mingle with hibiscus reflections decorating an ornamental pool in a Miami Beach shopper's Mall. This painting aims to convey the force and speed of an arrow just put to flight. In sentiment there is a lot of sympathy with the techniques and goals of Italian 'Futurist' painters at the outbreak of World War 1 (c. 1914).
While travelling through the South-Eastern USA, it seemed to me that nowhere outside of the UK is the 'Robin Hood' legend stronger! The cities of Atlanta, New Orleans and Houston all have their 'Sherwood Forest' areas in which streets have been named after Robin himself, Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid (changed to 'Lady' in Atlanta) Marian, and King Richard. there is also a 'Longbow Street' in Houston.
